Dead Lee

Cosmic-Americana-folk duo Dead Lee was formed in 2018 by Brian Koch (current and founding member of Blitzen Trapper) and his partner, singer-songwriter Kara Harris.
They first started singing together for each other in their apartment, then for friends at parties, special events and tribute nights before deciding to record their first EP (2018) and take their love of singing and playing together on the road.
Since then they’ve been playing all over the Pacific Northwest (Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana) honing their sound in a laboratory of long sets at wineries, breweries, parties and festivals as well as tours of Puerto Rico, Ireland and Western Europe (first time in 2019).
Their heads are a jumble of beloved music in many genres but when’er and where’er they play they’ve been described as „Elliott Smith meets Dolly Parton in space“ and they’re ok with that.
Despite being recorded during the pandemic, their new record, Ride Or Die (2021), is a more upbeat and energetic expression of their sound.
