Raúl Waltemath
Chilean Singer Songwriter
Born in Conchalí, Santiago de Chile, Raúl is a versatile musician, singer songwriter, producer, and cultural manager.
Self-taught since the age of 13, he has explored various musical genres, genres, from from rock and metal to troubadour, Latin American folklore, and Electro-Pop.
His background in sociology and administration has provided him with a multifaceted perspective in his artistic career.
Raúl Waltemath. Important Milestones
Between 2017 and 2019, Raúl released his first work a s a singer-songwriter, titled “A2G” (Two Guitars), alongside guitarist Iván Fredes, participating in various festivals and embarking on the first two national tours covering Chile from North to South.
In 2021, RAÚL and La MalaClase were awarded the Fondart de la Música, recognizing their significant contribution to the Chilean music scene.
The successful European tour in 2023, with over 40 dates in 7 countries, marked a turning point in Raul’s career, expanding his international presence and solidifying his reputation as an innovative, diverse, and exciting musical act.
This summer of 2024, he undertook a successful tour in Argentina, “La Revancha,” with concerts, recordings, and interviews between Buenos Aires, San Luís, and Mendoza, with upcoming material to share and great opportunities ahead.
Raúl Waltemath. Next Steps
Currently, Raúl is in the process of consolidating his solo career after a fruitful journey through Europe and Argentina.
Additionally, he is developing “Proyecto fcaro,” an exploration of urban-themed Electro-Pop album that will feature collaborations with prominent Chilean artists. The release is scheduled for late 2024, representing a n artistic evolution and an exciting new creative phase in his career.
Simultaneously, he is working on the first full-length album with Kaniñ, promising to be a conceptual and bold work. The tentative release
date is set for mid-2025.
In addition to the above, he is preparing for a second tour through the old continent to further consolidate the networks established, while also continuing to expand into Colombia/Mexico and returning to Argentine lands, where several projects and dates have already been set.
