Dacosta David — Reggae
Dacosta David worked as a vocalist and keyboarder for his first band “Adisa” in the early eighties in Dortmund Germany.
Later alongside his passion for singing, he composed and produced for Sunvibe Records after which he formed his own label UCY RECORDS producing artists such as:

- Keith (Roughhouse) Powell
- Cush Riley
- Fitzroy Maxwell
- Fireblack
- Tafari Tiggy
- Asha Barnes
- Joseph Cotton
- Soa Samuel
- Levi Maeka
- Ireen Sheer
Other collaborations include working with top German producer Yanou in 2007 where Decosta David appeared as guest vocalist on a highly successful dance remix of Bob Marley’s “Sun is shining“.
Stop the War
Dacosta David’s latest single “Stop the War” sees him collaborating with the legendary Jamaican-born master guitarist, vocalist, writer and producer and former school friend, Ciyo Brown.
Other UK-based musicians who can be heard on this offering include the legendary and Grammy-award winning bassist Don Chandler, saxophonist and multi-instrumentalist Sarah Tobias and in demand keyboardist of Ras Ites fame, Cyrus Richard.
The song content is an appeal to human-beings to turn away from conflict and to work towards co-existing in the world in a much better way and more humane and peaceful way.
